Hi Guys!! 🙂

I am starting day 10 of The World Race!! Ahhhhh, that is so stinking exciting!! God has already done so much, and I am only 10 days in, but that is for another blog. I just wanted to update you on exactly what Gainesville looks like for me day to day. I have such a sweet schedule. It is just so full of the Lord, and I am so excited to share with you! I will be in Gainesville, Georgia for 6 weeks, then after those six weeks I will head to Guatemala. This time in Georgia is to teach us, grow us, and fill us before we go over seas.

In Gainesville I have breakfast from 8am to 9am. From 9am to 10am I have Devo Time. Devo Time is just time for me to spend with the Lord. I am able to spend this time reading my Bible, praying, or both. After Devotional Time I have Session from 10:30 to 11:30. This time is so good! It is a time where someone shares from the Word of God. They teach us. After this time we debrief. debriefing is my favorite it is just such a sweet time! It is where we get to talk through all that we just learned and heard. It is a time to be in a small group of people and just talk about what The Lord has spoken through the person leading the session for that day. Debrief is cleaning campus time from 12 to 12:30. They have split our group of 40 into smaller teams, as a team we all go and clean a different part of campus each day during this time. We can be kinda messy lol. From 12:30 to to 1:00 we have lunch. After lunch we have free time until 3:00. After free time we have something called squad time. Squad time changes every day.

Monday- Monday is move your body. This can range from a full circuit workout to us all just playing volleyball together.

Tuesday and Thursdays- Tuesdays and Thursdays are fundraising.

Wednesday: Wednesday is storytelling. Storytelling is a time to spend telling what God has been doing. Whether that will be portrayed in video, in writing, or verbally telling people.

Friday: Friday is squad fun. Squad fun is pretty much what it sounds like. Time to have fun as a squad!

Squad time is from 3:00 to 4:00pm After squad time we have a session. The session is from 4:00 to 5:00pm. We hear another message during this second session. After session we have dinner. Dinner is from 5:00 to 6:00pm. After dinner we have team time. Team time is from 6:00 to 7:00pm. Team time is time that we get to spend with our team. Team time just like squad time changes every week.

Monday: Monday is debrief. Debrief is where we just share how we are doing with each other. We talk about the real and the raw.

Tuesday: Tuesday is gratitude. This is a time where we can show our gratitude for the Lord and each other in different ways.

Wednesday: Wednesday is bible study. My team is going to go through revelation. I am so excited to go through revelation.

Thursday: Thursday is feedback. Feedback is a time where we can encourage each other, and call each other higher in christ. Feedback is where you can give each other positive affirmation or constructive encouragement. The four steps we use are I know, I see, I feel, and I encourage. Those are the steps we use to give feedback.

Friday: Friday we get to choose what we want to do. We can watercolor, go on a walk, or play a game. Really it is a time to just spend together doing things we each enjoy.

After team time on Wednesday’s we will have corporate worship. This will be a time where all squads get to come together for worship.

You may be asking, what about Saturday’s and Sunday’s? Saturday and Sunday are days of rest. To take time to rest is all on scripture. The Lord rested on the 7th day of creation and he calls us to do the same during the week. Saturday and Sunday are days set aside to spend with each other and the Lord. I am so excited for these days!!

On Sunday we also have squad church! Squad church is a time where all 40 of us on the squad get to come together to honor the name of Jesus! This time we be led each week by a different team. The team leading will have the freedom to hear the prompting of the Holy Spirit and set up this time how they feel led.

  5. Maja, I sort-of had an idea about what the days look like for y’all, but I didn’t know the specific break-down of each day for Squad Time and Team Time. So glad to have all those details! Helps me to know just what y’all are doing each day and how I can be praying.
